Daren Keenan

This will be Coach Keenan’s 25th year of coaching volleyball. He learned to play volleyball in the general absence of boys’ volleyball by attending his older sister’s volleyball practices, and by playing pickup and in leagues with adults in both sand and indoor CRC leagues. He went on to play at St. X high school in their first 2 years of existence, D1 Club at Xavier University, and then another 10 years of OVR/USA tournament play. He coached Xavier University’s Women’s Club team for 9 years, 4 years of Club vball in the 14-16’s range, and then stepped back to coach grades 3-8 for his 3 children, as well as helped to stand up the Lakota Sports Organization youth volleyball program and was the Founder of the Lakota FC Soccer Club in 2012. 

Coach Keenan is a firm believer in Total Player Development, enjoyment of the game, solid competitive play, and giving back to the sport. 

Off the court, Coach Keenan is married with 3 children (20, 20, and 16) and works as a Finance Executive for a large Dental Service Organization.
