Tryout Information

Tryouts for the 2022/2023 club season are here! We have positions available on our 9U-14U club teams. No invitations have been made for these teams and we will select every player at tryouts. All OPVC high school teams 15U - 18U are full and we will not be having any high school tryouts.  If something changes we will post it on our website. Tryout days and times are subject to change. Please keep checking back as tryouts gets closer​.

OPVC 14U age group is maxed with the number of players for tryouts. We are grateful for the interest as this is a record number of players trying out at OPVC. 13U age group is almost to its max number of players for our tryouts.  We have a few spots still available but once it reaches it max we will close it and registrations will go on a waitlist. If you are not registered and still want to tryout please contact Ginger Hineline.

All tryouts will take place at 7950 E. Kemper Road at Ronnie Grandison Sports Academy. The building shares a parking lot with Kids First. The cost for tryouts is $35. All tryout fees are non-refundable.

Pre-registration is required. Players can register for tryouts (here). There are forms below that need to be filled out and brought to tryouts.

We realize that there are many overlaps between club tryouts, so we welcome players to come at any time during tryouts: coming late or leaving early as needed. The important thing is to come! Players are highly encouraged to attend both tryout dates (if they are offered) in their age group. We will have call backs for 11U-14U tryouts. This will give us the best opportunity to evaluate players. If a player cannot attend one of the tryouts in their age group, they must contact Ginger Hineline. If you do not attend the first session of an age group, you are welcome to attend the second session even if there are callbacks but please notify Ginger.  If you want to be highly considered for one of our club teams and you are on the call back list you need to attend the call back tryouts.

Tryouts are closed, meaning that parents are not allowed to stay in the facility while they take place. Once tryouts begin, parents will be asked to leave the gym and will be unable to return until tryouts are over.
