Tryout address: 7950 East Kemper Road at Ronnie Grandison Sports Academy.

Tryout cost: 8U-12U: $45 | 13U-18U: $60 | All tryout fees are non-refundable.

Pre-Registration is required. Players can register for tryouts below.

Three Forms are needed for OPVC tryouts:

1. Online registration with payment (choose age below)

2. Online athlete information form (online: click here)

3. Printed medical release form (click here, bring to tryouts)

We realize there are many overlaps between club tryouts, so we welcome players to come at any time during our tryouts. HOWEVER, being at OPVC's entire tryout allows for the best overall evaluation for players.

Tryout times are confirmed.

We have positions available on all of our club teams. Currently, we offer teams for 12U-18U age groups and pre-club teams for 8U-11U. Tryouts are open to all players.

For OPVC Pre-Club and 12U Tryouts ONLY players can attend one or both of our tryout dates, although attending both is preferred. FOR Pre-Club and 12U tryouts ONLY we are extending the

offer deadline to 9/10. For players receiving an offer after the 9/2 and 9/8 tryouts, the offer deadline will be on 9/10. We understand this is a busy tryout time for boys club tryouts and other fall activities and want to give available option dates for boys to be able to attend. Remember, the more we see a player the better for evaluation.

Tryouts are closed, meaning parents are not allowed to stay in the facility during tryouts. Parents can come inside for check in.

OPVC is a JVA club. Our boys' national teams will attend JVA Nationals in St. Louis. Memberships to AAU or USAV/OVR are not required for tryouts or the season at OPVC.

2026-27 JVA Age Divisions

JVA allows players who are older for their grade to have an “age waiver.” This means these players can play down (play their grade) if they choose. Details are at JVA Age Waiver Policy. There is a helpful tool to guide parents to the right age level at Age Level Calculator.

If your player falls into this category and you'd like to request an age waiver for him to play his grade level, please contact us at adam@ohiopremiervc.com, including your player's DOB and grade in school.

NOTE: our 12U regional teams are open to 4th/5th graders who want to try out for a full club team.

4th / 5th graders can tryout and be placed on our 11U Pre Club team & 12U Regional Teams.

Please note:
While attending one session is required, players are highly encouraged to attend both sessions, if possible, for the best evaluation and team placement. Please arrive early on the first day to submit tryout paperwork, get assigned a number, and to log athletic measurements and stats.
