Abbey is a former OPVC player who has been part of the club for years, both as an athlete and a coach. A Little Miami graduate, Abbey earned First Team All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-Region honors during her high school career before continuing on to play four years at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

At MVNU, Abbey developed into a strong presence at the net as a middle & right side attacker, finishing her senior season with 98 total blocks and ranking among the top 10 players nationally in the NAIA in total blocks. Abbey was also recognized as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete and earned CSC Academic All-District honors in 2024, balancing a four-year collegiate playing career with success in the classroom. She worked hard and earned her way into medical school even as a student athlete!

Abbey began coaching with OPVC during the summers after graduating high school and has continued working with our athletes throughout her college career. Since graduating from MVNU in 2025, she has continued coaching OPVC summer programs, evaluating our athletes at tryouts, and giving private lessons at OPVC.

This season, Abbey will join Coach Zoe and our 14-1 National team as an assistant coach. Having grown up playing at OPVC and then spending years coaching in our gym, Abbey knows our program from both sides of the court and has built great relationships with many of our younger athletes. She is thrilled to finally be on the sidelines as a club coach!
