Sean joined OPVC in 2021 and brings extensive playing and coaching experience to the club. A Cincinnati native, he was a four-year starter at Ohio Northern University, earning First Team All-Conference and Defensive Player of the Year honors while helping ONU to two Top 10 national finishes, including a national runner-up finish in 2004.

Sean has coached throughout the Cincinnati area, including serving as Head Coach for both the boys and girls programs at Fairfield High School and as a Varsity Assistant with Loveland Boys Volleyball. At OPVC, he has coached multiple age groups and been part of multiple bid-winning teams, including leading 17-1 to OPVC’s first USAV National Bid at the 17s age group.

Sean is known for his strong technical knowledge of the game and a direct coaching style that challenges athletes to reach their potential. He holds players accountable to high expectations while providing clear, honest feedback, and athletes consistently respond well to his ability to push them outside their comfort zones and help them grow.

Outside of volleyball, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife, Heather, their four children, and their dogs, as well as golfing whenever he gets the chance.
