Train & Play Session 2: Winter 2026
November 2nd - December 1st
NEW!
TRAINING will include 1 hour of instruction in technique for all skills such as, passing, setting, hitting/attacking, and serving (swing blocking for older age groups). We will also work on Defense/defense floor moves too. Our goal is to break each skill down fundamentally to better assist each athlete to perform these skills correctly for better results. Each week your child will also build confidence in themselves and the sport as we advance the skill level and push for success.
These sessions are run by OPVC coaches/leaders who strive to better our young athletes, while providing a positive environment. Everyone will be receiving a high level of reps and consistent feedback from our qualified coaching staff. Skill level may vary but we strive to challenge each player.
PLAY will include 30 minutes of opportunities to COMPETE and explore drills provided by the coach mirroring game like situations! For Example: 6 vs 6 / 4 vs 4 / 3 vs 3 – Serve receive / Defense etc.

To qualify for our advanced program, your player needs to have the following skill set:
- be able to overhand serve from behind the end line consistently
- have at least 2 years of organized volleyball experience (club experience is strongly preferred)
- know the fundamental skills of passing, setting, attacking and serving
- know the attacking footwork
- have an overall understanding of the game of volleyball which includes, but is not limited to: rotations, defensive schemes, and/or overall volleyball IQ
All players welcome and all skill levels welcome! Players do not have to play for OPVC to join our Train & Play.
